About Me

I am an independent multimedia journalist based out of Guwahati. I primarily cover the Northeast region, focusing on the domains of politics, policy, human rights, crime, and environment. In 2022, I won the RedInk award for my report on the vandalism of mosques in Tripura. In the past year, I have extensively covered the conflict in Manipur for Al Jazeera, The Reporters' Collective, Frontline and Outlook.

I am currently a Media Fellow with The University of Essex and The Guardian Foundation (the podcast was born out of this fellowship).
